Highclere Castle

Highclere Castle is a Jacobethan-style stately home located in the countryside of Hampshire, England. Set on an estate of 5,000 acres, the grandiose house has become a pop culture icon, as it was the main filming location for the Emmy-awarded show, ‘Downton Abbey’. It was also used for the filming of the 90’s comedy series ‘Jeeves and Wooster’, starring Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. The house, its Egyptian exhibition, and gardens are all open to the public for guided tours and special-ticket events.
